Jeffrey Waxman Spoke on the Intersection of Bankruptcy and Construction Law

On April 22, 2023, Partner Jeffrey Waxman spoke on the panel, "The Intersection of Bankruptcy and Construction Law" at the 2023 Annual Spring Meeting for the American Bankruptcy Institute. The panelists discussed a number of issues, including the basis of construction-related claims in bankruptcy, adequate protection of construction liens, the perfection of mechanic's and materialmen’s liens, the priming and priority of security interests, trust fund considerations, third-party releases, executory contracts, setoff and recoupment issues, and avoidance actions, including inchoate liens.
