Delaware National Alliance on Mental Illness Recognizes Ed McNally for Extraordinary Service

Morris James proudly announces that the Delaware Chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness recognized Ed McNally for longstanding, devoted service at its recent Inspiring Hope conference. Each year, NAMI Delaware awards a volunteer whose contributions are extraordinary. This year, Ed was acknowledged for his decades of Board service.

Ed is the past president of NAMI Delaware, and has served as the board Secretary for the last decade. Throughout his years of service, Ed has provided counsel on legal issues, human resource matters, and potential risk exposure. He is a valued leadership team member, providing guidance and reassurance to the CEO/Executive Director and Board of Directors in many challenging situations.

“Ed has a heart of gold," said Dr. Josh Thomas, CEO/Executive Director. "He has tremendous compassion for those we serve, a drive to ensure we fulfill our mission, and an incredible commitment to our organization.”

NAMI is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. NAMI Delaware was founded in 1983 by Simon and Jill Shute and a group of families desperate to support their loved ones. Over the years the organization has grown to provide a wide range of awareness, advocacy, support, education, and housing to support those affected by mental illness in Delaware. NAMI organizations nationwide are volunteer-based.

The Inspiring Hope Conference, renowned as The First State's premiere mental health event, allowed attendees to delve into the latest research, discover crucial resources, develop advocacy skills, and gain a deeper understanding of persistent and severe mental illness issues. Morris James was the keynote sponsor. Managing Partner Keith Donovan provided the opening remarks.

Morris James congratulates Ed McNally, our retired Partner who received well-deserved recognition for his outstanding years of volunteer work with NAMI. This honor reflects Ed's commitment to the mental health cause. The firm is proud to have played a pivotal role in sponsoring an event that aligns with our commitment to well-being.
